This Is Pawfulness, Y’all began as an urgent effort to document the two weeks Patricia Compton and her rescue group attempt to move more than 150 rescued dogs after her small Texas town ordered her to comply with its animal limit. Texas currently has the worst pet overpopulations in the country. Instead of telling a traditional rescue story, we flipped the film into a true-crime mystery: how did one woman end up with so many dogs in the first place.

The True Crime Pitch Video illustrates the structure, a surprising twist, to  networks and brands, which treats the unique element of this story like a true crime mystery and ultimately leads to the message nearly every rescue wants out in the universe — the importance of spaying and neutering.

The Heart of the Rescue Video was made for the rescue community, where it has been used as both a fundraising tool and a morale boost.
