PRINT AD RETROSPECTIVE

ROLE: WRITER + EDITOR + GRAPHICS

When I moved to LA, I learned how to author DVD and had this wonderful idea to make a fake museum-style retrospective to showcase my work. It’s silly, fun and mirrors the type of work I did that got me hired at big ad agencies, with interviews at some of the best shops in the country. With all the new A.I. image tools, I had an opportunity to bring it to life again.

My inspiration goes back to attending the Retrospective in NYC to impress my first love (Not a vampire slayer.)  I told her I admired how Matisse constantly evolved and kept creating even when he had arthritis.   “Moron, that’s what you got from the exhibit???!!!” Yessiree, love makes no sense. My take on Matisse’s philosophy was to stay curious, to be willing to explore new forms of expression  — and be remembered for my brand of audacity.
